Birding day tour to Merzouga Sahara Desert, Erg Chebbi and Rissani region

Our full day birding trip around this area starts in the early morning, after collecting you from your accommodation we will then venture out to the stunning sand dunes of Erg Chebbi, We may visit a seasonale lake Dayet Srij and then travel on ward to the nearby Rissani region. in the late afternon we’ll transfer you back to your hotel in Merzouga.

The target bird species that we’ll try to see include:

– Desert Sparrow(Passer simplex).

– African Desert Warbler(Curruca deserti).

– Brown-necked Raven(Corvus ruficollis).

– Spotted Sandgrouse(Pterocles senegallus).

– Crowned Sandgrouse(Pterocles coronatus).

– Pin-tailed Sandgrouse(Pterocles alchata).

– Blue-cheeked Bee-Eater(Merops persicus).

– Fulvous Babbler or fulvous Chatterer(Argya fulva).

– Egyptian Nightjar(Caprimulgus aegyptius).

– Saharan Olivaceous Warbler if the season allows.
